Job description
Quality Control Technician
To support and assist the factory quality team in ensuring the company’s quality standards and objectives are met. To support the Quality Manager in all matters relating to Quality, Food Safety and Legal Compliance, which includes supporting the site crisis management team where necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a champion for quality best practices by incorporating standards and policies into manufacturing processes.
- Engage closely with operators and production employees to improve and drive quality standards.
- Routine checks of production paperwork to ensure all paperwork is completed accurately.
- Communicate findings of quality inspections to wider teams.
- Collecting production samples and taking appropriate action when results are not within the desired standard.
- Retaining and cataloguing samples for storage and shelf life.
- Support in ensuring the site standards of quality and hygiene are achieved.
- Participate input on deviation investigation and corrective action plans.
- Collaborate closely with wider teams to address quality concerns.
- Engage effectively with broader teams to promptly resolve quality issues. Promote strategies that contribute to the improvement of site performance and compliance with BRC guidelines.
- Ensure all equipment is verified and maintained to the required standards.
- Conduct product/water sampling, environmental and hand swabbing, logging quality data, trending information, highlighting any deviations, and filing records.
- Completion of audits and supporting the wider teams.
This position is Monday to Friday, mainly within the factory.
Including working alternative shifts between 6AM-2PM and 2PM-10PM.
